Description

IMA Tech US Equities is seeking a well rounded hands-on technologist that is experienced in building systems that support the Investment Mgmt investment cycle with the main focus on trading functions. The candidate will be part of the development team that will work closely with the Front Office investors and Technology vendors. The candidate should have strong GUI development experience in building and/or enhancing complex systems, along with the ability to perform Business Analysis, build relationships with Business end-users, and lead small enhancement projects.



Required Skills:

7-10 years experience in a formal development environment with 4-7 years developing trading applications preferred.

Technical:

-Strong GUI design experience is required

-Strong C# .NET programming experience is required (additional experience with WPF is preferred)

-Strong experience in multi-threaded programming and object oriented design is required

-Strong experience building connected, service-oriented applications is required

- Streambase knowledge is a plus.

- Experience in visualization technologies like pan-opticon, Spot fire etc is a plus.

- Middleware messaging MQ, JMS is a plus

-Strong SQL development is a plus

-JIRA, SharePoint development experience is a plus

Business Knowledge:

-Familiar with US and International Equity markets.

-Able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

-Ongoing design, development and maintenance of new and existing Trading applications.

-Must have ability to take a project from specifications to deployment in the environment

-Ability to communicate via producing documentation at all levels, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating systems knowledge with technology skills

-Dedicated and conscientious.
